Man charged in arson

Police have charged a 43-year-old Woodstown man with arson and criminal mischief after a fire at the Monroe Township Little League Complex.

Anthony Lindsey was arrested Nov. 4 by the U.S. Marshal Service and its regional task force. He was later remanded to Salem County Jail, according to Monroe police.

It is alleged that on Sept. 3 at 1:26 a.m., officers responded to a fire allegedly started by Lindsey at the Church Street complex, where two storage sheds were ablaze. League equipment was damaged as a result and the fire marshal determined its cause as arson.
