Drivers injured in medical transport, school bus collision

The drivers of a medical transport van and a school bus were injured after a crash on Hartford Road on March 5, according to the Medford Township Police Department.

Medford Township police were dispatched to Hartford Road for a report of a motor vehicle accident at 6:23 a.m., police said.

An investigation revealed that a 30-year-old male, who was the sole occupant of a medical transport van, was traveling south on Hartford Road, and a 34-year-old female, who was the sole occupant of a school bus, was traveling north.

The medical transport van collided with the school bus causing the van to veer off the roadway and overturn. The driver of the van was airlifted to Cooper Trauma Center with back and leg injuries. The driver of the school bus was transported to Virtua Mount Holly with an arm injury, police said.

The investigation is ongoing by The Medford Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit.
