We are aware of the recent reports concerning drone sightings over Deptford Township and surrounding areas. Deptford law-enforcement and emergency management officials are closely monitoring the situation and are actively participating in information-sharing briefings with local; state; and federal authorities, including the FBI and Homeland Security.

At this time, there is no known threat to public safety. We have had one credible sighting in Deptford as of Friday, Dec. 13. We will continue to work closely with these agencies to identify the source of the drones and ensure the safety and security of our residents.

We encourage anyone who witnesses suspicious drone activity to report it immediately to the Deptford Township Police Department’s non-emergency line at (856) 845-2220. Your vigilance and cooperation are greatly appreciated.

We will share information with you as it becomes available. Thank you for your understanding and patience. Stay safe.
