The holiday season will come to life at the Deptford Mall starting Thursday, when Santa arrives at his toy shop in Center Court by Macy’s.
Families, friends, and even pets are invited for a lineup of holiday activities, including the usual free visits with Santa, where a variety of photo packages will be available to buy. Guests are encouraged to pre-book a spot online at DeptfordMall.com/SantaPhotos.

Christmas parade and celebration
After a pause since 2019, a beloved tradition returns to the mall this holiday: the Christmas parade. It will be held this year on Saturday, Nov. 16, beginning at 10:30 a.m. on the mall’s lower level near Journey Kidz. It will proceed to Boscov’s and the mall’s upper level, concluding at Center Court. Included will be a live band and holiday characters parading through the mall.
Following the parade, guests are invited to join a celebration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m, featuring singing, dancing, a balloon drop and holiday activities for kids. Photos with Santa will begin at 11 a.m., with a general admission line until 1 p.m. The celebration will include a special holiday performance by recording artist Felicia Punzo, a South Philadelphia native who is known for her soulful voice and chart-topping hits like “Sound My Heart Makes” and her holiday single, “It’s Not Christmas Without You.”
“Deptford Mall is excited to bring back the Christmas parade, a heartwarming holiday event that our community has dearly missed,” said Lori Belsito, senior marketing manager at the mall.

Pet photos with Santa
Photos will be taken beginning this Monday and on the following Mondays: Nov. 18, 25 and Dec. 2, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Sensory Santa
This event on Sunday, Dec. 8, from 9:30 to 10 a:30 a.m., will allow guests of all ages and abilities to visit Santa in a comfortable, low-stimulation environment before the mall opens. Registration is required at DeptfordMall.com/SantaPhotos.
PJ parties with Mrs. Claus
The parties will take place on Thursday, Nov. 21, and Thursday, Dec. 5 at the Kid’s Mini Theater. Showtimes are 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and noon. Families are invited to wear their pajamas and the parties will include story times, singing and dancing and holiday crafts. Pictures with Mrs. Santa will follow.
