In a statement released to The Sun, Deptford police have recounted that day that Sgt. Bobby Shisler, Badge number 5273, “showed us what true strength and grit was really about.” “March 10 will always be a difficult day for us,” the department noted. “It was on March 10, 2023, that our hero showed us what true strength and grit was really about. For the next eight weeks, Bobby would fight hard, surrounded by the love of his devoted family, friends, colleagues and an entire community that rallied around him. We will never forget him, and we will never forget his sacrifice. Til we meet again, we promise to stand watch with the same valor and tenacity that made Bobby Shisler our hero.”
