Deptford Middle School named its inaugural group of Spartan good citizens on Oct. 10. They are Mya Goree (left to right), Adrien Adams, Ethan Finger, Cali Brand, Kennedy Lindsay, Joseph Zizzamia, Luke Walker and Quintin Smith. Principal John Schilling was on hand to acknowledge the students as part of the New Jersey Department of Education’s Week of Respect that began on Oct. 6. Good Citizens are nominated by a teacher for exemplifying the values the school hopes to see in all students, including respect, kindness, school spirit and good character.
