Deptford Middle School welcomed Mike Devono, author of “Teaching Writing with Spice,” for a series of workshops on Oct. 30. He talked with sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students about enhancing their writing abilities and making writing a joy. Following school dismissal, Devono also held a workshop for teachers. His visit was made possible through a grant from Deptford’s Foundation for Educational Excellence.
