Southampton bridge temporarily closed for emergency repairs

The Burlington County Engineer’s Office has ordered the immediate closure of the Mill Street Bridge (No. D4.28) over the south branch of the Rancocas Creek in Vincentown in order to perform emergency repairs.

The emergency closure took effect Friday and is expected to remain in place until emergency repairs to the bridge structure are completed, Design work for repairs is ongoing and county officials anticipate emergency repair work will begin soon.

It is anticipated the repairs will take approximately three weeks to complete. During the closure, vehicles will be detoured around the bridge from Main Street to Newbolds Corner Road to Eayrestown Road (County Route 612) to Landing Street (County Routte 641) to Mill Street. The detour route was distributed to the municipality, local schools and first responders.
