In an effort to help Burlington County children stay warm this winter, state Sen. Troy Singleton and the Burlington County Commissioners are giving away 600 new winter coats on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. to noon at the county’s Emergency Services Building in Westampton.

The officials are partnering with the nonprofit Parents Engaging Parents to distribute the coats. Children must be present to receive one. Supplies are limited and families must pre-register at www.co.burlington.nj.us.com.

“It is vitally important that we do all that we can to ensure that children in Burlington County have the tools they need to succeed and thrive, and that includes having a coat that will keep them warm on their way to school,” said Singleton.
