The Burlington County Bridge Commission (BCBC) advises motorists that the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge will be temporarily closed to all  vehicular & pedestrian traffic on Monday, July 27, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. and again on Tuesday, July 28, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m., to allow crews to perform scheduled maintenance. The closure will not affect maritime traffic.

The overnight closure is necessary to complete essential maintenance work that helps  ensure the continued safe and reliable operation of the bridge. Conducting the work during overnight hours minimizes impacts on the traveling public while allowing maintenance personnel to safely perform the required repairs.

Variable message signs will be posted in advance of the closure to notify motorists, and appropriate traffic control measures will be in place throughout the maintenance period.

The Burlington County Bridge Commission appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as this important work is completed. In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, the maintenance schedule may be adjusted.
