A 38-year-old borough man was sentenced to 21 years in prison for fatally shooting his ex-girlfriend three years ago in the parking lot of a Palmyra self-service car wash, said Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw.

Superior Court Judge Amber J. Gibbs sentenced Antonio Burke in Mercer County on Oct. 10, after Burke pled guilty in September to aggravated manslaughter in the first degree, according to the prosecutor’s office.

The investigation began after Palmyra police officers were called to the Hot Wet & Wax car wash on Filmore Avenue at approximately 10:45 p.m. on April 18, 2022. They discovered the body of 28-year-old Alicia Stilley of Cinnaminson on the ground near her vehicle.

An autopsy concluded that she died from a gunshot wound to the thorax, said the prosecutor’s office. Burke was taken into custody a week later at a residence in Dallas, Texas.
