The Jackson Road Bridge (D6.23) will be closed for approximately eight weeks to undergo repairs.
The Burlington County Engineer’s Office announced the bridge closure would begin on Monday, June 9. It is expected to remain in place for eight weeks while workers repair the timber bridge.
During repairs, Jackson Road, also known as County Route 534, will be closed to through traffic between Atsion Road and Waverly Avenue in Waterford, Camden County. Local traffic will be permitted to enter the closure area to access properties but will not be permitted to cross the bridge.
The detour route will utilize Jackson Road, Hopewell Road, Taunton Boulevard, Tuckerton Road and Atsion Road. The route was distributed to the municipality, local schools and first responders.
