County seeks women scholars

$1,000 scholarships will go to five seniors

The Burlington County Commissioners and the Women’s Advisory Council are recognizing standout young women by awarding scholarships to those who aspire to lead and advocate for other females or pursue careers in STEM, health care or business.

Five $1,000 scholarships will be awarded. Applications are now being accepted.

The awards go to outstanding graduating seniors in the county and are divided into the following categories:

Future Leader scholarships: Presented to two individuals who’ve demonstrated leadership and advocacy on women’s issues. To apply, go to https://burlingtoncountynj.formstack.com/forms/future_leader_2026

Future Entrepreneur scholarship: For a female interested in a business career. Apply at https://burlingtoncountynj.formstack.com/forms/bcrcc_future_entrepreneur_award_2026

STEM Innovation scholarship: For an individual who plans a career in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) field. To apply, go to https://burlingtoncountynj.formstack.com/forms/stem_scholarship_2026

Light Maker scholarship: For a student interested in a health-care career. To apply, go to https://burlingtoncountynj.formstack.com/forms/virtua_health_light_maker_2026

All applications must be received by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15. An announcement about winners will be made in the same month. Recipients will receive their awards and scholarships on Tuesday, May 19.
