More than 50 customers have received services at the new satellite office on Briggs Road since its debut on Jan. 13. The facility replaces the long-time location at Moorestown Mall.

The Burlington County Clerk’s new and larger County Corner satellite office is now open on Briggs Road in Mount Laurel.

The facility made its debut on Jan. 13 in a county-owned building at 1020 Briggs, just off Route 38, and replaces the long-time satellite location at Moorestown Mall. Clerk’s office services there include passport applications and photographs, notary commissions, and business trade-name registrations.

Last year, more than 14,000 passport applications and renewals were processed at the County Corner, and more than 700 notaries were sworn in there.

“The Burlington County Clerk’s Office has always prioritized customer service, and we are excited to open this new location in Mount Laurel,” said Clerk Joanne Schwartz. “The new County Corner will be a convenient spot for residents to go for a variety of services from the county.”

The new office has extended operating hours, a larger and more comfortable space with restrooms, a waiting room and the potential to reduce wait times by handling more volume. Hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The clerk’s main office at 50 Rancocas Road in Mount Holly is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

In addition to its services, the Briggs Road facility boasts two multi-use offices capable of providing services from other county or state departments and more accessible parking, since residents will no longer have to compete with mall customers for space.

The Burlington County Office on Aging will have staff at the new County Corner location on the first Monday of each month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., starting on Feb. 3. Other departments and offices have expressed interest in sending staff to the new location, including the county’s superintendent of elections and the New Jersey State Health Insurance Assistance Program.
