Blood Drives
The American Red Cross urges donors to keep the blood supply top of mind and help save lives by making an appointment to give blood or platelets. All who come to give platelets through Oct. 5 will receive a classic Red Cross x PEANUTS sweatshirt featuring Snoopy as the coolest beagle in town, Joe Cool, while supplies last. The Public Works Facility, located at 1601 Union Landing Road, will be open from 8 a.m. to noon for a fall clean-up day. Acceptable items for drop off include paints, motor oil, antifreeze, electronics, televisions, brush and branches, metal items, automobile and small truck tires, car batteries and large trash items. Sixth annual Cars for Cause supporting Cinnaminson Fire Department’s Paint the Town Pink Fundraising campaign will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mainline Shopping Center, 1210 North Route 130.
Wednesday, Oct. 8
Sixth annual Chili Cook Off will benefit the Cinnaminson Fire Department’s Paint the Town Pink fundraiser, which will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at Brewery Thirty-Three. Proceeds will benefit the department and Paint the Town Pink.
Riverfront Seniors
Riverfront Seniors, formerly Palmyra Seniors, is a non-profit, non-partisan organization for persons 55 years or over who reside in Burlington County and surrounding areas. Members from area towns meet at the Palmyra Community Center each month September to June. Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesdays. Doors open to the members at 9 a.m., the meeting starts at 10 a.m., and at 11 a.m., the program is presented. On first and third Fridays, members can enjoy Bingo, lunch and a movie at the community center. Anyone may attend one meeting free to meet everyone. The Cinnaminson Fire Department will hold its Paint the Town Pink Car Cruise from 5 p.m. to dusk on the fourth Sunday of every month through September at Brewery 33, 601 Lippincott Ave., Riverton.
