Blood Drive
The American Red Cross urges donors to keep the blood supply top of mind and help save lives by making an appointment to give blood or platelets. Those who come to give by May 31 will receive an exclusive Red Cross solar lantern, while supplies last. Plus, all who come to give in May will be automatically entered for a chance to win a U.S. trip of their choice for two. Full details can be found at RedCrossBlood.org/May. Palmyra-Riverton-Cinnaminson Juneteenth Celebration of Culture will be held from 4-8 p.m. at the Palmyra Community Center, 30 W. Broad St. There will be Black-owned vendors, food trucks, commemorative and artistic performances. Rain date is Friday, June 20.
Through June 30
To celebrate his June birthday, State. Sen. Troy Singleton is collecting “Birthday Cake Kit” donations including boxed cake mix, frosting cans or mixes, birthday candles, party decorations, disposable cake tins and balloons. Donations will be accepted Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the senator’s office located at 400 N Church Street, Suite 260, Moorestown. Items can be dropped off in the designated bin in the lobby. The drive will support Generation Family Success Center’s Birthday Program, which provides free birthday kits to families in need so every child can feel celebrated on their birthday.
Riverfront Seniors
Riverfront Seniors, formerly Palmyra Seniors, is a non-profit, non-partisan organization for persons 55 years or over who reside in Burlington County and surrounding areas. Members from area towns meet at the Palmyra Community Center each month September to June. Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesdays. Doors open to the members at 9 a.m., the meeting starts at 10 a.m., and at 11 a.m., the program is presented. On first and third Fridays, members can enjoy Bingo, lunch and a movie at the community center. Anyone may attend one meeting free to meet everyone. The Cinnaminson Fire Department will hold its Paint the Town Pink Car Cruise from 5 p.m. to dusk on the fourth Sunday of every month through September at Brewery 33, 601 Lippincott Ave., Riverton.
