Alpacas from the Windy Farm in Chesterfield will be present at the Burlington County Farmers Market’s 2024 Holiday Market this Saturday.

Residents and visitors have a final opportunity to shop at New Jersey’s favorite farmers market before the holidays.

The Burlington County Farmers Market’s special Holiday Market will be held this Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Burlington County Agricultural Center. The event is the grand finale of the season and features more than 80 different farms, food vendors and artisan crafters.

It is the perfect location to stock up for the holidays with end-of-the-year produce, including farm fresh meats, seafood, eggs, local honey, baked goods, cheeses, holiday greens, gifts and more.

There will also be live music, kids’ activities, a cooking demonstration, a petting zoo from the 4-H Carrot Club and alpacas from the Windy Farm in Chesterfield.

Now concluding its 18th season, the Burlington County Farmers Market is held rain or shine each Saturday in the spring, summer and fall seasons. This year the market also introduced several preseason market days in March and April.

“2024 will be remembered as one of the best seasons ever,” said Burlington County Commissioner Allison Eckel, the liaison to the Department of Resource Conservation and Parks. “Not only did the market receive national acclaim, (but) it also helped dozens of local farms and businesses make record sales. There’s still one more market left, so we encourage shoppers to take advantage of this final opportunity to buy for the holidays and stock up on all your favorite produce, baked goods and foods.”
