Bridge repairs to close Neck Road in Burlington Township

A portion of Neck Road in Burlington Township will be closed for approximately 10 weeks while County Bridge D3.63 over the Assiscunk Creek undergoes repairs.

The Burlington County Engineer’s Office announced the bridge closure is expected to begin on Tuesday, June 24. It is expected to remain in place for 10 weeks while workers repair the concrete bridge.

During repairs, Neck Road, also known as County Route 658, will be closed to through traffic between Burington-Columbus Road (Route 543) and Old York Road (Route 660). Local traffic will be permitted to enter the closure area to access properties but will not be permitted to cross the bridge.

The detour route will utilize Burlington-Columbus Road (Route 543) and Old York Road (Route 660). The route was distributed to the municipality, local schools and first responders and detour signs will be posted on the impacted roads.
