Christine Harkinson/The Sun
Patricia LaFleur, 87, and Philip Steinbach, 89, residents of the independent living neighborhood at Masonic Village at Burlington, were married in the Masonic Village Chapel on July 19. Their story began more than two years ago, when LaFleur began visiting Steinbach’s wife in memory care. After she passed away from dementia, LaFleur and Steinbach found comfort and understanding in one another, bonding over the shared experience of losing their spouses to the same disease.
