The 2026 Kingston Elementary School PTA color run to demonstrate school spirit will take place on Saturday, May 30, at 320 Kingston Road in the township.
The ticketed event is open to the community and all ages and will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Rain date will be Saturday, June 6.
Proceeds cover costs and benefit the PTA. The 0.5-mile run includes sunglasses, a sweatband and a race bib. Participants can run or walk and do so multiple times. Kingston school staff and volunteers will cheer on participants while adding bursts of color.
A white T-shirt is recommended to wear because it best shows off colors. Participants and others can also pre-purchase a shirt on the PTA website, where they will also find ticket information. A check-in table will be located on the property’s driveway near the parking lot.
Adults must be on site to accompany children who will run. There will be color stations along the course to shower participants with vibrant powder.
The event will be broken into four parts. Grounds will open for check-in at 11 a.m., when runners can decorate their race bibs. At about 11:45, there will be a warm-up led by McHugh Jiu-Jitsu, also an event sponsor. At noon, the whistle will go off to signify the run’s start, and at about 12:45 p.m., there will be a final color blast on the site’s front lawn.
Other sponsors will have tables set up and there will be a surprise visit from a superhero and costumed characters. A concession stand will also be open for snacks and bottled water.
