Barclay Farmstead Public Tours from noon to 4 p.m. Historic Barclay Farmstead, 209 Barclay Lane. Spend some time enjoying over 30 acres of preserved farmland, including the historic farmhouse, nature trails, playground, picnic area and community gardens. Free for Cherry Hill residents, children 12 and under and members of the Friends of Barclay Farmstead.

Board of Fire Commissioners workshop meeting 7 to 9 p.m. 1100 Marlkress Road.

SATURDAY, APRIL 12

Volunteer tree planting 9 to 11 a.m. Erlon North, New York and McGill avenues (off Cooper Landing Road). The Cherry Hill Environmental Board, volunteers and Department of Public Works staff will plant trees and enhance green spaces. Volunteers should dress appropriately for outdoor work and bring a pointed shovel to help with planting. If anyone has a wheelbarrow and can transport it, please bring it. The recommended volunteer age is 12-plus. Rain date is May 3.
