“We partnered with a half-dozen data firms, collected hundreds of measures of company quality with millions of data points, and turned them into an index to evaluate thousands of the largest public and private companies in America,” explained Alan Schwarz, assistant managing editor at Forbes.

“Our commitment to excellence and the evolution of clinical capacities is driving national recognition like never before,” said Virtua CEO Dennis Pullin. “It’s a testament to our workforce and the ways they show up each day with pride and purpose.”

The Forbes recognition comes after Virtua earned its seventh consecutive appearance on the publication’s list of America’s Best Employers in New Jersey. Virtua also appeared on Newsweek’s 2025 list of America’s Greatest Workplaces and its inaugural list of America’s Greatest Workplaces in Health Care.

Founded in Marlton, Virtua serves South Jersey communities, including Voorhees and Berlin. It provides advanced, accessible healt hcare through five hospitals, two satellite emergency departments, 42 ambulatory surgery centers and more than 400 other community-based sites.

The hospital system is affiliated academically with Rowan University, with education through the Virtua Health College of Medicine and Life Sciences. Virtua also partners with Penn Medicine for cancer care and neurosciences and with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for pediatrics.

The system’s community-focused initiatives include the Eat Well program, featuring a mobile grocery to improve access to nutritious food.

“Virtua remains that trusted choice for personalized, compassionate care,” Pullin said, “and this (Forbes) honor is a reflection of our entire team’s dedication to the community.”
