Name: Brandy Titus

Age: 47

How many years have you lived in Berlin Borough? Nearly 40 years

Married? Children? Grandchildren? Married, with 2 daughters

Schools and degrees: Graduated from Berlin Community School in 1991

Profession: Claims customer service-team manager, dispatcher supervisor

Is this the first time you have run for a seat for BOE? No, I have been on the board for six years.

What is your involvement in the community? I’ve helped with many committees. I was able to voice concerns around school staffing and administration. I had an extra bus stop added for students who have to cross White Horse Pike. Implemented full-time preschool. Member of the Tabernacle United Methodist Church. Active member of home and school association at BCS for nine years. Previous fundraising coach for Hornets Cheerleading for nine years. Volunteer at BCS.

Why are you running for an elected seat? Being on the board is a challenge, but so rewarding when you get to see the students at their activities, receiving rewards and at graduation day. I am one of nine on the board and proud to be a part of some historical changes for our district and community.

What is one area you would like to concentrate on if elected? From my history of being on the board, I know that I cannot make changes, but I can promise to always voice my thoughts and opinions to keep our school focused on the students and what’s in their best interest. Making sure the school is safe for the students and staff is paramount. Will strive to ensure all students, along with the administration, teachers, parents and the community receive an enriching education in a safe environment. Will continue to support their academic, athletic, social, and emotional development.
