County roadwork projects, July 20-24

Several roadway projects will be underway across Camden County during the week of July 20 to July 24. 

“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”

Audubon

Crews will be working on East Atlantic Avenue on Monday, July 20, to Friday, July 24, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be a partial eastbound road closure between West Merchant Street in Audubon and Station Avenue in Haddon Heights.

Barrington

New Jersey American Water will be working on 203 Clements Bridge Road on Thursday, July 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Haines Avenue and Trenton Avenue.

Camden

Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue on Monday, July 20, to Friday, July 24, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. There will be a partial road closure northbound between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard & Cooper Plaza.

Crews will be working on Newton Avenue on Monday, July 20, to Friday, July 24, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. There be full road closure between Chestnut Street and the Kaighn Avenue/South 4th Street intersection.

PSE&G will be working on Ferry Avenue on Monday, July 20, to Friday, July 24, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between South Broadway and Webster Street. 

Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue on Monday, July 20, to Friday, July 24, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Newton Avenue and Chestnut Street, as well as lane closures between Chestnut Street and Wildwood Avenue. There will also be lane closures at the intersection with Newton Avenue.

Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue on Monday, July 20, to Friday, July 24, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Market Street & Cooper Street. 

Cherry Hill

Crews will be working on Kenilworth Avenue on Monday, July 20, to Friday, July 24, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Route 38 and Helena Avenue.

Crews will be working on Kresson Road on Monday, July 20, to Thursday, July 23, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a combination of lane shifts, lane closures and alternating traffic between Springdale Road and Middle Acre Lane. 

Crews will be working on Kresson Road on Monday, July 20, to Friday, July 24, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (6:00am to 2:00pm on Friday). There will be a partial eastbound road closure between Cropwell Road and Cooper Run Drive. 

Gibbsboro

Crews will be working on United States Avenue and Foster Avenue on Monday, July 20, to Thursday, July 23, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure of United States Avenue between Lakeview Drive South and Berlin Road, and a full road closure of Foster Avenue between United States Avenue and Clementon Road (Tuesday and Wednesday only). 

Gloucester Township

Crews will be working on Evesham Road on Monday, July 20, to Friday, July 24, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a partial eastbound road closure between Schubert Avenue and Black Horse Pike in Gloucester Township.

Haddon Heights

Crews will be working on East Atlantic Avenue on Monday, July 20, to Friday, July 24, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be a partial road closure eastbound between West Merchant Street in Audubon and Station Avenue in Haddon Heights.

Haddonfield

Crews will be working on North Haddon Avenue on Monday, July 20, to Friday, July 24, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On Monday, there will be a full road closure between Hawthorne Avenue and Merion Avenue. On Tuesday & Wednesday, there will be a full road closure between Rhoades Avenue and Merion Avenue. On Thursday, there will be a full road closure between Merion Avenue and Windsor Avenue. On Friday, there will be a full road closure between Windsor Avenue and Hopkins Avenue.

Mt. Ephraim

PSE&G will be working on 801 Bell Road on Monday, July 20, to Wednesday, July 22, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a partial road closure northbound between Baird Avenue and Lowell Avenue.

Oaklyn

PSE&G will be working on Kendall Boulevard on Tuesday, July 21, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure of Kendall Boulevard between Landis Avenue and Walnut Avenue. 

PSE&G will be working on Newton Avenue on Friday, July 24, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be there will be a full road closure between West Clinton Avenue and West Oakland Avenue. 

Pennsauken

Verizon will be working on North 36th Street on Monday, July 20, to Friday, July 24, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday), and 10:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Tuesday to Friday). There will be partial road closure southbound between River Road and Reminton Avenue.

Winslow Township

Crews will be working on Sicklerville Road on Monday, July 20, to Friday, July 24, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a 24/7 full road closure between Andrews Road and Erial Road.

The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway, over 200 bridges and several dams. They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
