(Lindenwold, NJ) – Several roadway projects will be underway across Camden County during the week of April 27 to May 1.
“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”
Audubon
PSE&G will be working on East Atlantic Avenue from Monday, April 27, to Friday, May 1, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a partial road eastbound between West Merchant Street & Dowling Avenue.
Bellmawr
Crews will be working on Kings Highway on Thursday, April 30, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Lucille Avenue in Brooklawn & West Browning Road in Bellmawr.
Brooklawn

Camden
- PSE&G will be working on Broadway on Monday, April 27, and Tuesday, April 28, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a lane shift between Lansdowne Avenue & Whitman Avenue and a lane shift between Liberty Street & Mechanic Street.
- Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue from Monday, April 27, to Friday, May 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a lane shift between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard & Cooper Plaza.
- Crews will be working on Kaighn Avenue & Collings Avenue from Monday, April 27, to Friday, May 1, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. From Monday to Wednesday, there will be a lane shift on Kaighn Avenue between Clover Street & South 8th Street. On Thursday and Friday, there will be a lane shift on Collings Avenue at the intersection with Chesapeake Road and at the intersection with Kearsarge Road.
- PSE&G will be working on Mt. Ephraim Avenue from Monday, April 27, to Friday, May 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a lane shift at the intersection with Kaighn Avenue, at the intersection with Liberty Street and at the intersection with Atlantic Avenue.
- Crews will be working on River Avenue from Monday, April 27, to Friday, May 1, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a partial road closure southbound between Federal Street & East State Street.
- Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue from Monday, April 27, to Friday, May 1, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Newton Avenue & Euclid Avenue, and a full road closure between Spruce Street & Mt. Vernon Street.
- Crews will be working on River Avenue from Monday, April 27, to Friday, May 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a full road closure between North 28th Street & North 29th Street.
Cherry Hill
Crews will be working on Kresson Road from Monday, April 27, to Friday, May 1, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. There will be a full road closure between Springdale Road & Browning Lane.
Collingswood
- Crews will be working on Park Avenue on Tuesday, April 28, and Wednesday, April 29, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a full road closure and sidewalk closures between Dill Avenue & Ogden Avenue.
- Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue and Park Avenue from Wednesday, April 29 to Friday, May 1, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a partial road closure eastbound on Park Avenue between Collings Avenue & Lakeview Drive.
Gibbsboro
- Crews will be working on United States Avenue & Foster Avenue from Monday, April 27 to Thursday, April 30, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure of United States Avenue between Lakeview Drive South & Berlin Road and a full road closure of Foster Avenue between United States Avenue & Clementon Road.
- Crews will be working on Hilliards Road from Monday, April 27 to Friday, May 1, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Kirkwood-Gibbsboro Road & Norcross Road.
Gloucester Township
Crews will be working on Evesham Road from Monday, April 27, to Friday, May 1, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a partial road closure eastbound between West Clements Bridge Road (Route 41) in Runnemede & Black Horse Pike in Gloucester Township.
Oaklyn
Crews will be working on Newton Avenue from Monday, April 27, to Friday, May 1, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a full road closure between West Collingswood Avenue & West Lakeview Avenue.
Pennsauken
Crews will be working on Browning Road on Tuesday, April 28, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a full road closure of Browning Road between Westfield Avenue & Washington Avenue.
Pine Hill
Crews will be working on West Branch Avenue from Monday, April 27, to Thursday, April 30, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a partial road closure eastbound between Blackwood-Clementon Road & Erial Road.
Runnemede

Crews will be working on White Horse Road from Monday, April 27, to Friday, May 1, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a partial road closure northbound between Laurel Oak Road & Burnt Mill Road.
Winslow Township
Crews will be working on Mays Landing Road from Monday, April 27, to Friday, May 1, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a partial road closure northbound between Old Albertson Road & the Atlantic County Line on Monday and Tuesday. Beginning on Wednesday, the traffic pattern will switch to a full road closure.
The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway, over 200 bridges and several dams. They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
