Funds raised during the event were donated to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC) and Knitted Knockers, two organizations dedicated to supporting individuals affected by cancer.

Knitted Knockers are handcrafted breast prostheses designed for women who have undergone mastectomies or lumpectomies. Unlike traditional prosthetics – which can be heavy, hot and require specialized undergarments – Knitted Knockers offer a lightweight, comfortable and breathable alternative.

The soft, adjustable prostheses fit into a regular bra and can even be worn while swimming. Thanks to volunteer knitters, Knitted Knockers are free to those in need.

The NOCC is dedicated to saving lives through education, early detection and research into a cure for ovarian cancer. Since its founding in 1991, the orgaization has worked nationwide to raise awareness, provide critical resources and support patients through advocacy, education and community outreach.

“This was a great event that raised funds for an incredibly important cause,” said county Commissioner Virginia Betteridge at the fundraiser. “Tuesday’s game was a way for the community to come together, enjoy some friendly competition and honor two wonderful organizations. We were thrilled to see such strong support from the local community.”
