Linda J. “Lin” Brophy (née Domanski), affectionately known as “Lin,” passed away peacefully on October 18, 2026, at Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes in Camden at the age of 75.

Born on August 28, 1951, in Camden to the late Walter Domanski and Thelma Rink Domanski, Lin was a lifelong resident of Gloucester City. She was a high school graduate who worked as a dedicated accountant for Willamette Industries Inc.

In 1972, she married her beloved husband, Jerome “Jerry” Brophy, with whom she built a loving home and a beautiful life. In 1981, they welcomed their son, Kyle Brophy, who was the light of their life and brought them immeasurable joy.

Lin had a wonderful passion for cooking and traveling. She cherished trips with her family and explored many destinations, including Canada, Mexico, Ireland, and the Dominican Republic. She especially loved summer vacations at the Jersey Shore, making treasured memories with her family.

Among those who loved her, she was especially famous for her delicious Jewish Apple Cake and sugar cookies. Above all else, her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored.

Lin is survived by her devoted husband, Jerry Brophy; her loving son, Kyle Brophy, and his wife, Jenn; her cherished grandchildren, Kylee and Colin; her dear brother, Walter; her sisters, Gail and Lisa; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Thelma, and her beloved sisters, Mary and Ruthie.

Relatives and friends attended her visitation at Saint Mary’s Church, Gloucester City, where Linda’s Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated. At the request of the family, interment was private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Lin’s memory through blood donation or a contribution to the American Red Cross.
