On Tuesday, Nov. 3, Monroe Twp. residents will go to the polls to vote for several candidates for the following open spaces: (1) mayor; (3) council-at-large members; and (3) board of education members. There are (2) candidates for mayor; (6) candidates for council-at-large; and (7) candidates for board of education. Please note: Board of education elections are non-partisan, but political affiliation is listed as provided by the candidates.
All running candidates were contacted to share their occupation, political affiliation, and clubs/organizations and community involvement.

BRENDA BROWN | Candidate for Council-At-Large
Brenda Brown is a school psychologist. She is a member of the Republican Party. Additional community club and organization participation includes: Girl Scout leader (former); Cub Scout leader (former); and youth sports coach.

EVERETT DAVIS | Candidate for Council-At-Large
Everett Davis is a former law enforcement officer with the Camden County Department of Corrections. He is a member of the Republican Party. Additional community club and organization participation includes: U.S. Army and Army Reserve veteran and President of Local 11 Retired Police & Fire Fighters Union.

SHERRIE KENNEDY | Candidate for Board of Education
Sherrie Kennedy is a registered nurse. No political affiliation is provided. Additional community club and organization participation includes: Chairperson Monroe Twp. Board of Health; Monroe Twp. Municipal Alliance; Monroe Twp. Mayor’s Committee on Addiction Awareness; Planning Board; and founding member of GFWC Woman’s Club.

Yvonne Pilla is a food service and retail operations management professional. She is a member of the Republican Party.

JOHN VALENTINE | Candidate for Mayor
John Valentine is a farmer and former small business owner. He is a member of the Republican Party. He is a current councilman for Ward 4.
