Since NJ Assemblyman Balvir Singh’s seventh district office on Route 130 in Delran has been temporarily closed for security upgrades, his mobile service unit has traveled to towns helping constituents get access to state services, such as unemployment and NJ Family Care health insurance.
“We have visited nine towns in the last three weeks,” said Singh’s Chief of Staff Cameron Dockery, the coordinator who brought the mobile unit to the Cinnaminson Community Center on Monday, Aug. 10.
“We serve as a bridge to state agencies, especially the Dept. of Labor for unemployment and disability,” said Dockery, a 2024 graduate of William Patterson University in Wayne, NJ, with a degree in political science who is putting his education to good use.
“We also help constituents sign up for the state’s SNAP food assistance program and human services,” he said.
For those looking for assistance with employment, housing, financial support, food access, or state services, the team helps residents connect with the right programs and agencies, he continued. “We are here to listen, support, and help residents access the resources they deserve.”
Recently Dockery and several volunteers have been helping older citizens sign up for the combined Senior Freeze, Anchor and property tax relief program due to the state’s Nov. 2 deadline for filing during visits to Palmyra, Delran, Moorestown, Mount Laurel, Willingboro, Bordentown, Florence and Burlington Township.
During the unit’s visit to Cinnaminson, and with help from two volunteers, the team helped several residents with information about the 2025 NJ Property Tax Relief application.
“I feel like I’m making a difference. I like giving back to the community and it’s nice to make a connection with people,” said volunteer and Cinnaminson resident Toni Guerra, who also helps out with community service projects coordinated by NJ Senator Troy Singleton (D-7) including park restorations, shoreline trash collections and building clean-ups.
“I love doing this,” Dockery said. “Working for Assemblyman Singh is a privilege and something I take as a great honor. We are reaching out to people as a bridge to human services resources.”
Dockery joined Singh’s staff in February 2025 after the assemblyman was appointed by the Democratic party to fill an unexpired term in January 2025. During the General Election in November 2025, Singh was elected to a full, two-year term in the NJ Assembly.
The office at 8008 Route 130, Building C, Suite 450 in Delran will re-open soon, said Dockery, and it offers a variety of services to constituents, including helping veterans sign up for the state’s various military benefits.
Also, victims of consumer fraud and scams can get assistance and struggling families can navigate housing aid, rental assistance and utility relief programs. An added bonus for residents is the Notary Public services where they can get free notarization of official documents.
“It is important for us to serve our constituents,” said Dockery, who said he enjoys going out to the towns in the seventh district with the mobile services unit and helping people get the resources they need. He and the volunteers did a great job assisting residents at the Cinnaminson Community Center on a hot summer day.
