Rotary members and community volunteers recently erected more than 350 full-size American flags in perfectly symmetrical rows at Freedom Park, part of the township’s 2026 Field of Honor.

Medallions are annually placed on flags with details of nominated “heroes.” Medford Sunrise Rotary organizes the Burlington County event each year to honor those who served and currently serve. In the weeks leading up to it, community members can sponsor a flag in the name of the person they nominated.

Flags honor all active-duty military, fallen servicemen and women, first responders, humanitarian, hometown heroes and COVID victims. The Field of Honor will remain up through Saturday, June 6.

Anyone can walk the field and read its stories and dedications. Find flag sponsorship and corporate sponsorships at burlcofieldofhonor.com/dedicate a flag.
