Rising Sun Lodge No.15, Lazarus Lodge No. 303 and Collingswood-Cloud Lodge No. 101, F&AM, will hold their annual joint education awards banquet on Wednesday, June 3, at Haddonfield Masonic Temple, to honor the dedication and hard work of local educators and students.

Rising Sun Lodge will honor its chosen educator of the year, Debra Goldsborough of Lenape Regional High School. Lazarus Lodge will honor Dennis K. Nelson III, an educator at KIPP Lanning Square Middle School in Camden, as its educator of the year. Each awardee receives a plaque and a cash honorarium.

Rising Sun Scholarship Fund Inc., a charitable subsidiary of Rising Sun Lodge, will honor Michael Lamb, of Haddonfield Memorial High School, with its scholarship award. Collingswood-Cloud Lodge will present its annual scholarships to students at Collingswood and Gloucester City high schools, where the specific recipients are ultimately chosen.

Rising Sun, Lazarus and Collingswood-Cloud lodges do their part to support the grand tradition of the Most Ancient and Honorable Society of Free and Accepted Masons. The world’s oldest fraternal organization, it has long been a supporter of education, in addition to other charitable causes and beneficiaries.
