Deputy Mayor TJ Coakley recently announced exciting news about our Revolutionary Roots: America250 initiative, Harrison Township’s community celebration of our nation’s founding 250 years ago.
We’ll kick off the celebration with our Revolutionary Roots’ parade in the park on Harrison Township Day, Saturday, June 6. Township families, organizations and businesses are invited to be part of this special march through Ella Harris Park. The parade will begin at about 3 p.m.; participants will gather at 2:30 in Harbaugh Village, then proceed to the park.
The parade will end near the baseball fields on the Route 77 parking lot side of the park, just in time for the start of Harrison Township Day at 4 p.m. The actual timing will be communicated after the sign-up window closes.
The parade in the park is a great way to bring our community together before an evening filled with celebration, fun activities and hometown pride. Residents’ participation will help make the day truly memorable. Please indicate your interest on the Harrison Township website by Friday, May 29, and a parade coordinator will contact you with additional details.
