Mount Laurel’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is now accepting applications for the 2026 Junior EMT Academy for children ages 12 to 15.
The academy will be held on Aug. 10 and 12 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with dropoff beginning at 7:30 a.m.
Spaces is limited and each candidate is required to bring a bagged lunch daily. A water bottle will be provided by the academy, as well as a pizza lunch on the academy’s final day.
Academy topics tentatively scheduled are CPR, first aid and stop the bleed. Also included are presentations by the police and fire departments, SouthStar, communications, advanced life support and the emergency department.
