The township has announced that its annual First Responders Night and fireworks celebration will take place on Thursday, July 2, at Laurel Acres Park.

Festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m. with family-friendly activities, food vendors and the Secret Service Band. At dusk, the township will debut a special commemorative drone light show to honor of the country’s 250th anniversary. The night will conclude with the township’s annual fireworks.

“Over our 250-year history, Americans from all walks of life have proven time and again that even in the most difficult moments, we can come together to overcome challenges and emerge stronger,” Mayor Stephen Steglik said. “I, alongside (council), wanted to commemorate this once-in-a-generation milestone in a special way and this drone show is a meaningful way to celebrate our nation’s past, present, and more importantly, our future.”

Event details, including parking information and food vendors, will be shared on the township’s official website and Facebook page.
