The township will host a public meeting at the Moorestown library on Saturday, May 2, at 11:30 a.m. to focus on lake management and watershed restoration at Strawbridge Lake.
Held in partnership with Princeton Hydro, an ecological engineering consulting firm, the session will offer community members an overview of recent and ongoing projects, opportunities to ask questions and insight into how individual actions can help protect local water resources.

Township staff and Princeton Hydro Senior Manager of Aquatics, Chris Mikolajczyk, Certified Lake Manager, will make presentations on issues like current in‑lake management projects and how lake management activities are connected to broader watershed health.
- The current in‑lake management project, led by the township in partnership with Princeton Hydro, includes targeted harvesting to remove excess aquatic vegetation and improve water quality. The effort is complemented by a comprehensive community outreach and education initiative, featuring a native vegetation workshop, on‑site project demonstrations and new interpretive signage throughout Strawbridge Lake Park.
- A key goal of the project is to establish a scalable, transferable framework that can serve as a model for other communities across New Jersey seeking to implement similar lake management and watershed restoration programs. The efforts are funded in part through a state DEP grant.
