Delran Seniors Club

The Delran Seniors Club is a social club open to anyone 55+ from Delran and neighboring towns. Membership is $10 annually, with monthly meetings at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Bridgeboro Road in Delran.

The meetings begin at 1 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month except for December due to the club’s annual Christmas Party.

The club attempts to have speakers at each meeting to bring information relevant to “our lives and needs.”

Members enjoy two day trips a year supported by Delran Township, a fall trip and spring trip. For 2026, the spring excursion is to the Dutch Apple Dinner Theater for an afternoon production of “OKLAHOMA” and in the fall, the trip is to the Surflight on LBI to see Vanities with lunch at the Waterfront Cafe.

December is the organization’s annual Christmas Party (no meeting in December) the usual cost for Delran resident members is $10 and non resident/non members is $15. Dinner is a catered buffet meal, entertainment, dancing, with an open bar (wine, beer, soda). Other drinks will be available at a cost determined by the bartender.

There is an attempt to have speakers at each meeting to bring us information relevant to our lives and needs. In February, representatives from Senior Citizens United Community Services, Inc. came to discuss all the programs that are available to senior residents of southern New Jersey.  It is an innovative, non-profit social service agency established in 1979 to improve services to senior citizens in our region to enhance the quality of their lives. They also provide transportation through Sen-Han Transit free of charge. Their phone numbers are: (877) 603—5111 (Burlington County) and (856) 456-3344 (Camden County) the website is www.scucs.org and email is scucs@scucs.org

In April, the speaker will be from the Department of Aging and May’s speaker will be from the AARP. There is no speaker in June. The meeting in June will be a picnic and ice cream sundae party.

For more information about the club call Betty Jewell at (609) 713-4440.
