Cinnaminson High School’s Consumer Bowl team won the 2026 Consumer Bowl County Competition and will now advance to represent Burlington County in the regional competition.

The Consumer Bowl is an educational competition for high-school students across the state. It was established in 1997 to educate young adults on a variety of consumer issues and is approved under the New Jersey Department of Education Professional Development Guidelines, enabling teachers who coach students to obtain professional development credits, according to the New Jersey Consumer Affairs website.

Schools participate for free and study materials, and additional study links are provided through the state’s website. The competition uses a game-show format to test students’ knowledge of consumer issues. Competing as teams, they answer questions about “real-life” topics, such as credit, new and used cars, health clubs, telemarketing and other general consumer topics.

The knowledge gives them the power to spot scams and protect themselves from fraud and dishonest business practices. All participating students receive certificates of achievement, while winners at the county and regional level get trophies.

First-, second- and third-place winners at the state level, the final level of competition, receive individual medals and prizes.
