The American Red Cross urges donors to make an appointment to give blood or platelets now to keep the blood supply as strong as possible in the final days of the year and into 2026. Types O, A negative and B negative blood donors are especially needed now.
The Red Cross is teaming up with Pro Football Champion and blood donor Saquon Barkley to urge donors to make appointments now to help save lives this winter. Photos featuring Barkley giving lifesaving blood are available.

In honor of February being African American History Month, state Sen. Troy Singleton is hosting his monthly community service event at the Dr. James Still Historic Office Site and Visitor Center. The “Serve with Senator Singleton” event will be held at the Visitor Center, 210 Medford-Mt. Holly Road in Medford from 10 a.m. to noon. The Senator and a group of volunteers will be tasked with painting and moving cabinets and shelving units. Riverfront Seniors
Riverfront Seniors, formerly Palmyra Seniors, is a non-profit, non-partisan organization for persons 55 years or over who reside in Burlington County and surrounding areas. Members from area towns meet at the Palmyra Community Center each month September to June. Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesdays. Doors open to the members at 9 a.m., the meeting starts at 10 a.m., and at 11 a.m., the program is presented. On first and third Fridays, members can enjoy Bingo, lunch and a movie at the community center. Anyone may attend one meeting free to meet everyone. Cinnaminson High School Class of 1986 is having its 40th High School Reunion scheduled for Feb. 28, 2026 from 7 to 11 p.m. at Carlucci’s Waterfront Grill located at 876 Centerton Road, Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054. The venue is limited to a 120 Person Room Capacity and tickets are going fast. Be sure to act soon to reserve your place. The cost per ticket is $125 per person and includes the following: Three Hour Open Premium Bar, Three Course Sit Down Meal: Salad/Soup, Choice of Entrée, and Dessert, Sales Tax/Gratuities.
