Official: Monroe Township election results

Voters in Monroe Township either went to the polls early, voted on Election Day on Nov. 4, or mailed in votes to elect members for council and for school board.

There were a number of open seats on the board.

Incumbents Anthony Lanteigne, James Magee and Rosemarie Mohr sought reelection for three, three-year terms, while Jeanine Wilson, Jayme Miller-Dobbins and Anthony Bundi sought first terms.

There were 37,571 votes cast. Wilson received the most, with 7,154; followed by Miller-Dobbins with 6,657; and Mohr with 6,095 for the seats.

Magee received 6,059 votes, Bundi got 5,980 and Lanteigne got 5,479.

There were 147 write-in votes.

Two candidates – incumbent Al Lewis and Mark Kozachyn – ran for a two-year unexpired seat. Kozachyn received 6,507 votes over Lewis, who received 5,813. There were 53 write-in votes.

Two more candidates – Vincent Brando and Marie Sheridan – vied for a one-year unexpired seat. Sheridan received 7,152 votes over Brando, who received 5,546.

There were 45 write-in votes.
