STEAM Grab and Go: Penguins. For children of all ages. Stop by youth services and pick up a craft to make in the library or take home.

Baby and Me Meetup 10 a.m.

Scrabble 1 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 6

Teen Grab and Go: Make a moose in a festive sweater. Stop by the young adult room and pick up a craft to make at home.

Kids chess 10 a.m.

Artist Reception: Marjorie Scheier. Stop by from 2 to 4 p.m. to meet the family of artist Marjorie Scheier (1932-2021), whose artwork will be featured in the library’s community art gallery throughout December.

Sunday, Dec. 7

Scavenger hunt for children 1 p.m.

Mosaic Society of Philadelphia talk: “Exploring Tuscany and Painting with Glass” at 1:30 p.m. Five Mosaic Society of Philadelphia members traveled to Tuscany in September to learn about painting with glass. They will share photos, artwork and experiences. 

Monday, Dec. 8

Knitting group meet-up 10:30 a.m.

Craft It Yourself! Holiday Gifts at 4:15 p.m. For all ages. Supplies will be provided to create decorations, ornaments, decorative gift bags, greeting cards and more. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

Monday night movie and discussion: “Pinocchio” 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday, Dec. 9

History Talk: “Tricentennial of Moorestown” at 4 p.m. Fred Young’s presentation will focus on homes, businesses, transportation, firehouses, schools, street scenes, people and churches from 100 years ago.

Wednesday, Dec. 10

All-ages story time 10 a.m.

Open play time 10:30 a.m.

Rummikub Noon.

Friends Board of Trustees meeting 7 p.m.

Thursday, Dec. 11

Holiday pickle and craft party 1 p.m.

Mahjong 1 p.m.

Dreidel tournament 4:15 p.m. For grades K to 5. Participants will learn how to play dreidel and split into groups to play. Each participant will leave with a dreidel of their own.

Opera roundtable: Andrea Chénier 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 17

The Moorestown Jewish Association’s annual Menorah Lighting will be held on the Community House lawn at 6 p.m. There will be crafts, food, entertainment and more. Visit www.thechabadcenter.org/Moorestown.
