
In the second week of November, Mount Laurel Officers handled several calls for service. Below are some of the incidents which officers responded to.
Nov. 7
At 1:28 a.m., officers on patrol observed a black backpack and scattered items in the roadway on Academy Drive near Fremont Lane. The items were found to belong to a resident of Mount Laurel. A second backpack was recovered nearby. At a residence on the 300 block of Custer Court, a black 2022 Jeep Wrangler was found with its center console open and items strewn about. Miscellaneous keys and a work ID card were reported missing. This investigation is ongoing.
At 7:20 a.m., officers responded to Farnwood Road for a report of a motor vehicle burglary that occurred overnight. A resident reported that their vehicle had been entered, and a wallet containing identification, credit cards, and an FID card was stolen. The resident confirmed that the credit cards were secured and no fraudulent charges occurred. This investigation is ongoing.
At 10:28 a.m., officers responded to Southgate Road for a report of two vehicles entered overnight. Two residents reported that nothing was taken. Surveillance footage from a nearby residence showed a white sedan stopping as several individuals exited and checked vehicle door handles. One suspect entered both vehicles before returning to the sedan. Latent prints were collected. This investigation is ongoing.
At 2:57 p.m., officers responded to the 10 block of Adner Drive for a report of smoke filling a residence. Officers entered the home but were forced to retreat due to heavy smoke. Fire personnel located the resident and family dog unharmed nearby. Fire officials investigated the cause, and the Red Cross was contacted for assistance.
Nov. 8
At 8:48 a.m., officers responded to a hotel on the 300 block of Century Parkway for a report of a stolen vehicle. A red 2023 Nissan Sentra, which had been left unlocked with the key fob inside, was stolen overnight. Surveillance footage showed masked suspects arriving in a white Chevrolet Equinox and pulling on vehicle door handles before taking the victim’s vehicle. The vehicle was later detected in Cherry Hill and entered into NCIC as stolen. The license plate and personal items were later recovered in Pennsauken. This investigation is ongoing.
At 10:13 a.m., officers responded to an apartment on the 90 block of Rosemary Way for a fire assist. Fire personnel advised that a sprinkler system had activated, extinguishing a small fire caused by an iron. Several surrounding apartments sustained water damage, and the Red Cross assisted displaced residents. Fire investigators responded.
Nov. 10
At 11:02 a.m., officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on a black 2015 Infiniti on the 900 block of Route 73. The driver provided false identification and was found to have an active warrant. A search incident to arrest revealed suspected Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) and paraphernalia. The suspect was charged on a summons with hindering their own apprehension and CDS-related offenses and released.
Nov. 12
At 1:38 p.m., officers responded to Crofton Court for a report of a vehicle burglary. A resident reported that their work truck had been entered and several tools valued at approximately $1,000 were stolen. There were no signs of forced entry. This investigation is ongoing.
Nov. 13
At 12:06 a.m., officers responded to a business on the 1200 block of Route 73 for the report of a robbery. A suspect wearing dark clothing and a face covering pushed the victim and stole cash before fleeing on foot toward a nearby business. This investigation is ongoing.
