Items sought for food drive

The Monroe school district is partnering with the township’s Community Affairs Department, the Williamstown High food pantry and the Monroe Township Education Association for an emergency food drive that will continue through Monday.

Grocery store gift cards are accepted. Dropoffs and tables are located at all elementary schools and Wlliamstown’s middle and high schools.

Needed items:

  • Jarred pasta sauce
  • Rice and pasta
  • Personal care items
  • Canned protein (tuna, chicken, etc.)
  • Peanut butter
  • Canned gravy & pumpkin
  • Cookie mix & condensed milk
  • Breakfast items
  • Hearty canned soup/pasta
  • Condiments & cooking oil
  • Canned vegetables & fruit
  • Box stuffing & instant mashed potatoes
  • Cornbread in a box
  • Canned sweet potato
  • Pie crust in a box and pie filling
