Voters in Shamong Township went to the polls on Nov. 4 and elected members for Township Committee and school board of education.
The Burlington County Clerk’s Office has posted results from the election on its website, all of which are unofficial until a vote-counting process that could take more than a week is complete.
Vote totals do not include late mail-in and provisional ballots; they are expected to be tallied at a later date.
Shamong Township Committee
Three candidates vied for two, three-year term seats on the Shamong Township Committee.
Republican incumbent Michael Di Croce – currently serving as mayor – and newcomer Michael Southwick faced Democratic newcomer Anastasia Zuccaro.
As of Nov. 5, Southwick leads with 2,109 votes followed by Di Croce with 1,984 votes. Zuccaro has received 1,235 votes.
There are 67 write-in votes.
Shamong Township Board of Education
Four candidates vied for two, three-year term seats on the Shamong Township school board.
Incumbents Keith Hopson and Jeff Warner were running for reelection. Michael Corney and Toby Martin were seeking their first terms.
As of Nov. 5, Corney leads with 1,673 votes followed by Martin with 1,459 votes. Warner has received 1,161 votes and Hopson has received 957 votes. There are 39 write-in votes.
