Police warn of car thefts

The theft of a motor vehicle that occurred overnight on Sept. 20 led detectives to recover the vehicle, a Chevy Traverse, within two hours, police say.

In light of the crime, Mantua is reminding residents of a criminal element in the area that is targeting unlocked vehicles. To avoid that, observe the following:

  • Lock your car doors.
  • Do not leave your keys or key fobs inside.
  • Report any suspicious activity immediately.
