House fire displaces residents

A late-night fire in the Glendora neighborhood on Aug. 31 temporarily displaced residents of a Price Drive home.

At approximately 12:09 a.m., Gloucester Township police responded to a report of a fire at the home, where officers battled heavy smoke and flames. No one was inside at the time and its occupants later returned to the scene. There were no injuries.

Firefighters from Glendora, Chews Landing, Blackwood, Magnolia, Somerdale and Bellmawr fire departments brought the blaze under control, preventing it from spreading to neighboring homes.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the township police Department, the Glendora Fire Marshal and the Camden County Fire Marshal’s Office.
