The American Red Cross urges donors to keep the blood supply top of mind and help save lives by making an appointment to give blood or platelets. Those who come to give through Aug. 28 will receive a $15 e-gift card to a merchant of choice. Plus, the Red Cross will perform free A1C testing, commonly used to screen for prediabetes and diabetes, on successful donations (one test result per 12-month period). School Supply Drive

The Delran Police Department will be assisting Creative Change Counseling Inc. with their Annual Back to School Supply Drive through Aug. 20. They will have a box placed in the police station lobby for anyone who would like to donate any of the requested supplies.

Burlington County in collaboration with state Sen. Troy Singleton will hold a Veterans Health Fair and Luncheon from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be healthcare checks and biometric screenings available. Register at www.troysingleton.com/veteranshealthfair.

Riverfront Seniors

Riverfront Seniors, formerly Palmyra Seniors, is a non-profit, non-partisan organization for persons 55 years or over who reside in Burlington County and surrounding areas. Members from area towns meet at the Palmyra Community Center each month September to June. Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesdays. Doors open to the members at 9 a.m., the meeting starts at 10 a.m., and at 11 a.m., the program is presented. On first and third Fridays, members can enjoy Bingo, lunch and a movie at the community center. Anyone may attend one meeting free to meet everyone. Delran Green Team

Delran Green Team meets the second Wednesday of the month at 7:30 in the Delran Municipal Building, 900 S. Chester Ave.

Delran Seniors Club

The Delran Seniors Club is a social club open to anyone 55+ from Delran and neighboring towns. Membership is $10 annually, with monthly meetings at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Bridgeboro Road in Delran.

The meetings begin at 1 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month except for December due to the club’s annual Christmas Party scheduled for Dec. 10 from noon to 5 p.m. A complete lunch is available at every meeting for $10 at sign in. 

The club attempts to have speakers at each meeting to bring information relevant to “our lives and needs.”

Members enjoy two day trips a year supported by Delran Township, a fall trip and spring trip. The spring excursion is to the Dutch Apple Dinner Theater for an afternoon production of “Fiddler on the Roof” and on Oct. 19, the trip is to the Shore Club a “Bandstand” Review.

Delran Historical Society

The Delran Historical Society meets on the third Tuesday of the month in these five months, January, March, May, September and November at the Delran Township Municipal Building located at 900 Chester Ave. The meetings are held in Community Room 3 and start at 7 p.m. We frequently invite speakers to address the membership.
