Police were dispatched to a Spring Lake Avenue residence in the township on July 23 for a possible backyard pool drowning involving a 2-year-old female.

Gloucester County Communication 911 dispatched first responders at about 6:13 p.m. relaying that a child was unconscious and CPR instructions were taken over the phone, according to police. By the time officer Jose Ramos arrived and was joined by the township fire department, he found the child was alert and conscious. She was transported to Cooper University Hospital as a precaution.
