A 35-year-old Pennsylvania man has been charged with multiple offenses in connection with a robbery at the Bank of Princeton in Voorhees on June 27, authorities said.

Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and township Police Chief Louis Bordi confirmed that Phu V. Police responded to reports of a robbery at the bank on Route 73 after Nguyen allegedly entered the facility at about 11:40 a.m., passed a demand note to a teller and displayed a firearm tucked in his waistband, police said. While the weapon was not brandished or discharged, the teller handed Nguyen an undisclosed sum of money and he fled. No injuries were reported.

Following a joint investigation by police and the prosecutor’s Major Crimes Unit, Nguyen was identified as the suspect and was apprehended on July 3 in Horsham, Pennsylvania, by members of federal and regional task forces. He is being held at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in Pennsylvania until his extradition to New Jersey, officials said.
