Cinnaminson residents and businesses can register exterior-facing security cameras with the township police department, an effort to enhance safety as part of a crime-cams partnership.

“Your footage could be vital in helping us solve crimes in your neighborhood,” the police posted in a Facebook message. Registration is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time.

Cameras must face outside and video must be retained. Police will only request footage if a crime occurs nearby, and footage will never be accessed without a resident’s permission
