Middle-school athletes awarded

Deptford Middle School held an end-of-year awards ceremony on May 21 to recognize its outstanding student athletes.

The school’s coaches of field hockey, boys and girls soccer, wrestling, boys and girls basketball and boys and girls track presented the Spartans with well-earned individual awards. The girls basketball team was also recognized for its consecutive championships.

Principal John Schilling and school athletic coordinator and coach Michael Mullen presented the athlete of the year award to Kendall Evans and Caeden Gagliardi.

“Congratulations to all on an outstanding year,” the school district noted on Facebook.
